Business is all around you every day, it isn’t hard to see how it has affected you and will affect your future. 

The aim of this GCSE business course is to provide a broad understanding of all aspects of business to students at key stage 4, helping them to understand:

1. Business in the real world
2. Influences on business
3. Business operations
4. Human resources
5. Marketing
6. Finance

The curriculum has been designed to provide subject knowledge which is then used to underpin the application of skills across all key stage 4 in preparation for GCSE exams. The department therefore develops students’ ability to learn core content using a variety of techniques including quizzing and deliberate practice, whilst also designing opportunities for students to apply this knowledge in a range of contexts.
