Thank you for visiting!

I am delighted to welcome you to our rapidly improving school, Rushden Academy. We are part of a highly successful trust called Tove Learning Trust (TLT) and have excellent collaborative networks across the trust. Staff really enjoy working at Rushden Academy and our high staff retention figures demonstrate this fully.

Team Rushden are on the cusp of something great, our results are rapidly improving and our intake numbers are increasing. Visitors are impressed when they visit our school commenting on the strong Team Rushden values permeating across all aspects of school life. We have built a culture where together, students and staff are united in transforming our school.

We are proud of our achievements to date and regularly communicate this widely. There is a strong drive to excel in lessons and to behave respectfully towards each other and our community. We are proud of the curriculum that we have on offer, not only does it deliver the content pupils need to excel in today’s society but it also develops their imaginations.

Our sixth form provision, The East Northamptonshire College (TENC), is shared with two local secondary schools, sharing our expertise not only at KS5 but also at KS4 with cross moderation and quality assurance systems. We also have an outstanding nursery onsite, which is open term-time only and many of our staff use this excellent provision for their children.

Good afternoon

What an amazing cultural evening we shared last night with our performing arts department and our stunning year 9 pupils. A real eclectic mix of dance, drama and music; the lecture theatre was packed and at times not a dry eye in the audience. If you were able to attend we wanted to thank you for supporting the showcase. Your support really matters to us and in particular the pupils, last night we really gained a sense of how much time and effort had been invested in putting on a great showcase and your cheers and claps made it all worthwhile. Year 10 have a hard act to follow next week!

Good afternoon

Not sure if you follow Team Rushden on Twitter but it’s really good to see that the Eco Ambassador plans have been launched along with strategies to recycle plastics. Pupils are being encouraged to bring re-usable drinks bottles in to school and re-fill these at the hydration stations available. Usually when it is hot these are very popular but at the moment not so, however at some point surely the temperature will rise!
