Dear Families,
You may have noticed that work has been taking place on site this week to install new electric cables for the village. This is part of a wider project that will see a new substation installed on the roundabout in the car park. Further works will take place over half term to connect this to the grid, providing power to local homes and businesses.
As a result of this work, there will be some disruption to the car park area, with reduced space for parking and turning. Please be mindful of this when dropping off and collecting your child so you do not block the roundabout or prevent other vehicles from leaving the area.
Open Evening
It was a delight to open the school on Thursday evening to welcome families considering Rushden Academy for their child next year. We hope that all families had a great evening, and we would like to remind parents that the deadline for applications is 31st October 2026. Applications must be made via the NNC website.
For families in receipt of Pupil Premium, please remember that you can apply for a place at Rushden Academy using the SIF form, available from the school website. This allows your application to be considered under a specific criterion in our admissions policy. Full details can be found on our website: https://www.rushden-academy.net/kf/admissions
Policies
Please be aware that policies are regularly updated over the school year. A number of key policies have been updated for this academic year, including the Behaviour Policy and SEND Policy. These can be found on our school website: https://www.rushden-academy.net/kf/policies
RAF Wittering Trip
On Wednesday 7th October, a group of six pupils visited RAF Wittering to take part in an International Rescue event that combined teamwork, communication, and planning with their German language skills. This trip allowed students to stretch their language abilities and apply their learning to real-world situations. Mr Ross will be sharing more details in our bumper newsletter at the end of the month.
We hope that you all have a lovely weekend, and we look forward to seeing all students on Monday, ready for line-up at 8:25am.
Yours sincerely,
Mr. J. Firth
Principal
