Dear Families,
Today, we have been supporting the Macmillan Coffee Morning, continuing a tradition our school has taken part in for many years. Macmillan is an incredible charity supporting people across the country, and I know many in our community have experienced their help firsthand. We are extremely grateful for all the support shown by our students to make this event such a success. A special thank you goes to our Ethos team and Sixth Form students for planning and delivering assemblies this week to highlight the vital work Macmillan does. We look forward to sharing our fundraising total with you very soon!
Staff Photography Competition
You may have seen that we regularly run photography competitions for students to showcase their creative talents. Over the summer break, we invited our staff to submit their own photos, and the results are finally in! While we will be sharing these wonderful pictures across our social media channels, we would like to extend a special congratulations to Mrs Pilcher for her winning photo below:

PE Fixtures & Spectator Policy
As our sports fixtures get underway, Mr Harris, our Head of PE, has been in touch with families whose children have been selected to represent the school. We would like to take this opportunity to clarify our policy regarding spectator attendance at matches:
In line with guidance from the local PE Association (PEA), parents are unable to attend fixtures to watch matches. We understand this might be a change from what you experienced during primary school, so we wanted to explain the reasoning behind this decision.
Secondary fixtures are usually led by a single teacher who remains on the sports fields with the team. Because school reception closes at 4:00 PM, staff cannot leave the field to welcome parents or manage visitor access at the main gates. Restricting spectator access ensures our staff can keep their full focus on supervising students and managing games safely.
We know how much you love supporting your children in their sporting endeavors, and we truly appreciate your understanding and continued cooperation.
Year 7 Coffee Morning Success
We would like to thank all the families who were able to attend our recent Year 7 Coffee Morning, led by our Family Support Worker, Jenni King. We hope you found the session helpful, and we look forward to continuing our work together throughout the year. Details on future coffee mornings will be shared soon. If you need to get in touch with Jenni, please contact her via her email address
Free School Meals and Pupil Premium Eligibility
The eligibility criteria for Free School Meals have recently expanded, meaning many more families in our community can now apply. Even if your child prefers to bring a packed lunch, registering for means-tested Free School Meals is crucial. Each registered pupil unlocks Pupil Premium funding for the school, which directly powers extra tutoring, intervention groups, and vital resources for our classrooms. Checking if you qualify is quick, discreet, and helps support both your household budget and our wider school community. To check if you are eligible, please follow this link https://www.gov.uk/apply-free-school-meals or https://www.northnorthants.gov.uk/schools-and-education/free-school-meals-and-pupil-premium.
We hope you all have a wonderful weekend, and we look forward to seeing all students back on Monday at 8:25am, ready for line-up.
Yours sincerely,
Mr. J. Firth
Principal
