Dear Families,
We hope you had a good Easter break and found time to relax and spend time with family and friends. We have a busy term planned ahead for everyone as we work towards the end of the academic year. Some of the key events to look forward to are:
Performances: Madagascar, Our House, National Theatre Connections, Dance & BTEC Showcases.
Milestones: Year 11 & 13 Proms, Year 6 Transition, Work Experience (Y10 & 12).
Celebrations: Sports Day, Culture Day, TOVE 10, and the Summer Rewards Event.
In addition to all these exciting events, we will still continue to push forward with the installation of temporary classrooms in preparation for September. We are currently at the surveying stage, making sure that our suggested locations are suitable and appropriate for the temporary structures. We have received updated drawings from the Architect. These provide an exciting glimpse into the modern learning environment we are building for our students.

As always, when we have further updates on the work, we will keep you posted.
Parent and Student Surveys
Next week you will receive some information regarding a survey that the Tove Learning Trust is carrying out. This survey is being completed across all schools in the trust, and it will provide an opportunity for you to share feedback on your views and experiences with the school. The survey will go live on 27th April, and it will be open for a few weeks. The company providing the survey on behalf of the trust is called Edurio. This will allow schools and the trust to gather data that can be benchmarked against a large dataset, held by Edurio.
Students will be provided opportunities in school to complete the survey, but they are able to complete this at home if they wish. Details for students will be shared via their school email address.
TOVE 10
We have had a great week celebrating the Trust’s 10th birthday, with further activities planned for next week. So far we have done the following:
- Foodbank collection
- Teacher Leg Wax

- Year Group Photos
Next week we will have the following events, with details being shared with students during the week via their form tutors:
- Colour Run
- Bake Sale
- Teacher vs Student
- Pie the Teachers
- Bingo
We would like to thank you all for your support with these events, and we hope to share the photos of each year group in their number 10 formations with you very soon!
Year 11 Exam Information Booklet
For parents of students in year 11, you should have recently received a guidance booklet from Mr Bocking that provides all the information you need to know about your child’s upcoming exams. Copies of this booklet can be found on the Exams page of our website, found under the Key Facts section. We hope you find this information useful, and do ask any questions if you need to.
Parent Session on Career Pathways
We know that supporting your child with conversations about their futures and careers can be difficult, particularly with the number of pathways now available to students after they have completed their compulsory school education. To provide additional support, our Ethos team is offering a session to parents to support and guide you through this process. This will take place on Tuesday 21st April, from 3:30pm to 4:30pm. Please come to the school reception, and a member of the team will collect you.
We hope you all have a lovely weekend, and we look forward to seeing all students in school on Monday.
Yours sincerely,
Mr. J. Firth
Principal
