New Multi-Faith Prayer Space

We are delighted to be able to open our new Multi Faith Prayer Space in school this week.

This is a space for students to come and reflect, pray and meditate during break and lunch - everyone is welcome, whether you have a faith or not. In these times of Covid and war, where many of us are struggling with our wellbeing and looking to find a way of processing what is going on in our lives, finding time and space to reflect and pray can be really helpful.

We have some different activities set up to help you pray if you want to use them, a comfy beanbag for those who want to sit and be quiet, and washing facilities for students who need them.

If you want to use the Prayer Space, just come and ask the Ethos Team in the Creative Arts block.

Maths Feast Challenge

On Tuesday four of our brightest year 10 maths students represented Rushden Academy at the Maths Feast Challenge.

Melissa, Charlotte, Isobel and Hayden took part in the challenge which included four rounds of problem solving tasks that were completed in teams.

Our Rushden students competed against six other teams from other schools across the county. Team Rushden came back with some fantastic results winning the third round outright and coming in third place in the first round.

A huge congratulations and very well done to Melissa, Charlotte, Isobel and Hayden!
