Dear Families,
On Thursday evening we had two wonderful events taking place after school. It was lovely to see students and the community coming together for our Christian Union Prayer Evening, and for the PTFA’s Beetle Drive. It was lovely to welcome so many people to both events, and we are extremely grateful for the support that our community continues to provide.
SEND Sessions
We would like to remind families that we are holding a SEND session next Wednesday, 3rd December. We are offering two different slots to support all families with the first session starting at 1:30pm, and the second session starting at 6:30pm. Further details, and to book a free ticket can be found via our social media pages, or using the link below:

These sessions provide an opportunity to find out more about SEND from the Principal and our SENDCo. We will share details on our provision, and the support available via the local authority.
Year 11 Next Steps
This week our sixth form team has been meeting with all year 11 students to discuss next steps. This has been a great opportunity to talk with all students about their intentions for next year, making sure they have the correct advice and guidance to ensure they make informed choices about their education post year 11. Students will have further opportunities over the academic year to receive further support and guidance on their options for next year.
Attendance
Mr Smart is launching a festive themed attendance prize draw starting next week. This will allow students who are in school each day the opportunity to win prizes. Further details will be shared via our social media platforms. We are looking forward to celebrating our winners over the remaining three weeks of term.
B Block Update
I appreciate that there has been no recent update regarding the B Block. I would like to reassure families that plenty of work is taking place behind the scenes with meetings between the school, the trust, and Barker Associates who are our project management company. Once we have some firmer details about the plans moving forwards I will keep you updated.
Christmas is nearly here!
With only three weeks left of term, things are starting to look festive in school, and out in the community! We hope that the students supporting the Rushden Lights Switch On over the weekend have a great time, and we are extremely proud of their hard work and commitment to showcasing the huge talent we have in school.
We are also mindful that this time of year can be difficult for some children and families.
If you have any concerns regarding this time of year, please confidentially contact your child's Head of Year or school reception so we can continue to support and ensure all students feel happy and supported in school.
We will have some special treats over the last week of term that we are sure students will enjoy.
We hope you all have a lovely weekend, and we look forward to seeing all students in school on Monday.
Yours sincerely,
Mr. J. Firth
Principal
