For the parents/carers and students joining Team Rushden in Sept 2020!
I am delighted that you will be continuing through the next stage of your education with us and I look forward to meeting you all! My role as the Lead on Transition is to ensure that the move from Year 6 into Year 7 is a smooth one. Given the current situation with COVID-19 obviously our usual transition process may well be disrupted but our priority throughout the coming months will be to make sure that you are still as informed, supported and prepared as possible to join us.
Please use this section of the website as your first port of call for any information specific to the transition process. We are looking to post lots of information, our transition handbook, videos and other important documents in this area to keep it all accessible and easy to find!
Please feel free to use the rest of the website to find out more about the school in general and if you have any questions please don't hesitate to get in touch.
Pick your language
Please follow the link to access the information you need regarding your child's preference for the language they will study in Yr7 and going forward when they join us. Within the link is a letter and video explaining the process and an online form where you can actually submit their preference
ParentPay & Biometric Consent
Rushden Academy is a cashless school and we use ParentPay to process all payments, including paying for your child’s lunch. All new students, and those who haven’t already set up an account should have received a letter with an access code to activate your ParentPay login. Once you have logged into the system, you will be able to add money on to your son/daughter’s lunch account and track what they are spending each day.
To pay for food in the canteen, students use their fingerprints. For more information about our biometric system and to give consent for your child to use their fingerprint use the form below.

Uniform Ordering during COVID-19
Unfortunately in light of the current situation with COVID-19 we are unable to offer an opportunity of trying on school uniforms at school. Our current uniform providers, Karl Sports are currently closed but they are hoping to open their store in Kettering as soon as possible. They plan to allow customers to try on uniform there but we will keep you updated on this matter.
However, uniform orders can be completed online, using the links below:
Blazer/Tie/PE Kit - https://ksschoolwear.co.uk/product-category/rushden-academy/
School Skirt - https://www.pbuniform-online.co.uk/rushdenacademy
Please endeavour to place your order before the end of the school year. The websites show the different options and sizes available but please feel free to contact the uniform providers for guidance on sizes if needed, they are more than happy to help.
Equipment required for September includes a pencil case containing black pens, pencils, ruler, eraser and a calculator. A red pen for peer marking, highlighter, protractor and compass will also be beneficial.
