Edexcel GCSE Drama

Current Year 11 students are currently working on controlled assessment coursework before they commence work on their final performance unit and begin preparations for their unit 3 exam in front of an eternal examiner in term 4. KS4 is an exciting time for our budding performers the course offers a range of possibilities to improve and develop students as actors and drama students whilst providing them with excellent options to continue studies into KS5.

Supporting Your Child

Offer to help out with line learning / characterisation, leading up to assessments

Ensure Showmyhomework.com is checked regularly as resources and tasks are updated regularly.

Take your son/ daughter to the cinema/ theatre, whenever possible.

Encourage your son/ daughter to support the Academy productions or attend local performances in the area.

Check through books and engage in conversation about what was learned each lesson or performances they saw; this is great for developing speaking and listening skills as well as evaluating others.
