Once you reach Year 9, you now have an idea about what activities you like more than others, and we allow you to choose a “pathway” based on your preferred activities. Typically there are “games-based” pathways that include traditional school team sports such as football, netball basketball etc and “individual-based” pathways that include activities that you perform on your own. Within each pathway is are options for groups to choose with their teacher activities that they would like to pursue that they may not have ever covered before. Examples of these may include Australian Rules Football, Inclusive Sports, Tchoukball, Dance and other Fitness activities.

Supporting your Child

Know your child’s timetable and which days of the two week rotation that they need to bring their full PE kit.  Promote physical activity on regular occasions and emphasise that Physical Education is a compulsory part of your son or daughter’s learning in school.  Also be aware that extra curricula clubs are offered to ALL students on most days at lunchtime and after school.
