From Space Invaders to Call of Duty ever wondered how they work? The IT and Computing curriculum offers a deep insight into how modern computer technology works from the hardware we use to the creation of your own software. During key stage 3 students will learn about the internal working of computers and networks as well as focus on the skills required to be a software developer, such as analysis, design, programming and evaluation.

Supporting your Child

PC and Internet access is very useful. All of the free educational programs we use are Windows-based; there are Apple Mac versions of most, but they tend not to be compatible if students want to bring work to college. Homework is often set as part of the IT and Computing curriculum and can often be research based and forms an important part of the learning in the lesson.
