 2017: Best Ever GCSEs!

Rushden Academy are very proud of our Year 11 pupils. 60% of our pupils have achieved good GCSE passes in English and Maths, this is the highest it has ever been. Also more of our pupils have gained 5 plus GCSEs, and as a consequence more are progressing into their first choice post 16 courses. Girls have done particularly well in English this year and for the first time in a while boys have out-performed the girls in Maths. This was also the trend seen in some of the A level results, the boys are stepping up.
Interestingly the BBC news announced that nationally pass rates have dipped due to students facing tougher exams. It has been a challenging year but year 11 came out on top.
Well done everyone for your dedication and sheer determination.
