Rushden Academy Year 11 students have made a huge 10% improvement on their GCSE results in comparison to this time last year, with 45% students achieving 5 A* to C GCSEs including English and Maths. There has been a significant improvement in A* to B grades, which was particularly evident Science.

Jane Burton, Vice Principal, stated that this was testament to the hard work and dedication of staff and students alike.

The following students should be congratulated on achieving outstanding results in their subjects

Alexandra Curtis: 9 A*s and 1 A grade

Jack Bond: 3A*, Distinction* and 7 A grades

Rhys Darby: 5A*s, Distinction* and 6 A grades

Imogen Kitchen: 5 A*s and 4 A grades

Caitlin Mitchell: 3 A*s and 8 A grades

Tom Reed: 2 A*s and 7 A grades

Katie Stretch: 7 A*s and 2 A grades

Owen Walding: 5 A*s and 4 A grades

Many of our students also deserve praise for significantly outperforming in many of their subjects: Chloe Pond, Callum Bale, Rebecca Colwell, Sydney Knowles, Faith Thompson, Abbie Tearl, Alice Cowl, Rose-Anne Wright, Victoria Oxby and Bradley Carter.

A big thank you to our staff for their successful interventions, to parents for their valuable support and finally to our year 11 students for making this happen. Wishing our year 11 students every success in the transition to work, college and sixth form.
